Dr. Gillian Sandstrom is an Associate Professor in the Psychology of Kindness at the University of Sussex, where she has been based since 2022. Her research focuses particularly on social interaction, conversations with strangers and acquaintances, weak social ties, loneliness, and the ways everyday interactions can contribute to well-being and social connection.
