Open Positions
As an Event Staff Volunteer, you will be instrumental in the success of our organization’s events, ranging from small gatherings to our large-scale conference. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to work behind the scenes of event planning and execution, providing invaluable support to ensure our events run smoothly and our community has a memorable experience. Ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about bringing people together for a cause.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, strategy, awareness build-up and execution of event(s)
• Focus on select one-of or annual events.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces, including decorations, seating, and informational booths.
• Manage registration desks, greeting attendees, and providing them with necessary materials and information. Serve as an information point for guests, answering questions and directing them as needed.
• Support the coordination of event logistics, such as catering, audio/visual setup, and transportation.
• Help with crowd management and ensure the event adheres to safety protocols.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
• Event Coordination, Oral and Written Communication (internally and to Sponsors/Partners), Social Media (nice to have)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with event attendees and team members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing tasks and environments.
• Enthusiasm for events and a commitment to providing a great experience for guests.
• Availability to volunteer during event hours, which may include evenings and weekends.
• Time commitment: Expected 4-8 hours monthly & availability on the day of event
• Frequency: Touch base with the committee once a week ideally; be responsive on email every day or two.
• We meet virtually and in-person on occasion. You will be given calendar invites to help be organized.
• Email/Whatsapp collaboration is quite normal.
As an Administrative Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our organization. Your tasks will include data entry, managing our general inbox, filing documents, and providing general clerical support to our team. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the inner workings of a non-profit organization and develop valuable administrative skills.
As a Social Media Volunteer, you will be the voice of our organization online. Your creativity and passion for social media will help us expand our digital footprint, engage with our community, and spread awareness about our mission. This role is perfect for someone looking to enhance their digital marketing skills while making a positive impact.
Our organization is seeking Special Skills Volunteers who can offer their unique professional talents on a pro bono basis. Whether you’re a graphic designer, photographer, filmographer, translator, IT expert, or have another specialized skill, your contribution will significantly enhance our projects and initiatives.
